Parents Sense Foul Play As 4-Year Old Boy Dies In Abuja School

There was a terrible occurrence on Wednesday April 24, at BrickHall School located in the Cadastral Zone B11, Kaura in Abuja, when a 4-year-old pupil died.   The deceased named Miguel Ovoke died in the morning, during the school’s feeding hours.   Miguel was rushed to the hospital after showing signs of distress but it was too late as the hospital declared him dead on arrival.   A death certificate issued on April 24, 2024, by Excel Specialist Hospital, Abuja, stated that Ovoke was brought to the hospital by his teachers around 11 am in an unconscious state.    The medical report, signed by Dr. Akinwande Ajayi, on behalf of the medical director, indicated that he was brought in, “on account of aspiration on meat while feeding at school.”    Upon examination, the medical team found that the boy’s pupils were fixed and dilated, with a nonreactive response to light.   His peripheral pulses were said to be “impalpable, blood pressure was u...

Russia Vetoes US-backed UN Resolution To Ban Nuclear Weapons In Space

Russia has vetoed a United Nations resolution that proposed a ban on the use of nuclear weapons in outer space after US intelligence reported that Moscow is trying to develop a nuclear device capable of destroying satellites. In February, President Joe Biden confirmed the US has intelligence that Russia is developing a nuclear anti-satellite capability. The weapon could destroy satellites by creating a massive energy wave when detonated. Russian Ambassador to the UN, Vassily Nebenzia on Wednesday, April 24, described the UN draft as a “dirty spectacle” and a “cynical ploy” prepared by the resolution’s backers, the US and Japan.   Before the vote, senior US officials claimed Russia might be hiding something should it veto the text.
