Update: Community In Delta State Razed After Killing of Fifteen Soldiers

The community of Okuama In Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State that was involved in the killing of fifteen (15) soldiers have been completely razed.

It was recently reported in all the media that the Army officers were ambushed by some aggrieved youths while they were rushing down to respond to a distress call prompted by a fatal community clash between two communities known as; Okuama and Okoloba communities on Thursday, March 14, 2024.

After the onslaught by the youths, fourteen (14) bodies of murdered soldiers were recovered by the joint task force on Saturday March 26, 2024. The task force which was under the supervision of Major General Jamal Abdussalam, the General Officer Commanding 6 division Nigerian Army at Okuama community, who confirmed that some of the soldiers were beheaded while some had their heart and stomach removed.

The Nigeria army are not happy about the situation and has gone all out to fish out the perpetrators, as some arrest has been made by soldiers led by the General Officer Commanding 6 division Nigerian Army, Major General Jamal Abdussalam.

The hideous attack on the soldiers has led to the fleeing of the residents in the coastal communities to neighboring Ughelli community for fear of retaliation by the soldiers who have been busy patrolling the creeks obviously to arrest more suspects.
