There was a terrible occurrence on Wednesday April 24, at BrickHall School located in the Cadastral Zone B11, Kaura in Abuja, when a 4-year-old pupil died.   The deceased named Miguel Ovoke died in the morning, during the school’s feeding hours.   Miguel was rushed to the hospital after showing signs of distress but it was too late as the hospital declared him dead on arrival.   A death certificate issued on April 24, 2024, by Excel Specialist Hospital, Abuja, stated that Ovoke was brought to the hospital by his teachers around 11 am in an unconscious state.    The medical report, signed by Dr. Akinwande Ajayi, on behalf of the medical director, indicated that he was brought in, “on account of aspiration on meat while feeding at school.”    Upon examination, the medical team found that the boy’s pupils were fixed and dilated, with a nonreactive response to light.   His peripheral pulses were said to be “impalpable, blood pressure was u...

Russia has vetoed a United Nations resolution that proposed a ban on the use of nuclear weapons in outer space after US intelligence reported that Moscow is trying to develop a nuclear device capable of destroying satellites. In February, President Joe Biden confirmed the US has intelligence that Russia is developing a nuclear anti-satellite capability. The weapon could destroy satellites by creating a massive energy wave when detonated. A priest, Reverend Canon Tony Mukoro, has been rescued by the operatives of the Police command in Edo State from the den of kidnappers. According to SP Chidi Nwabuzor, the Police public Relation Officer, the incident happened on Tuesday March 19, 2024 in Benin, as one AK 47 rifle, one expended AK 47 shell, two pump action guns, 14 live cartridges, one cap and a bag were recovered from the suspects. The cleric was abducted by suspected hoodlums at Isihor community in Ovia North-East Local Government Area of the state on his way to his house in his car. Chidi the PPRO further stated that the Divisional Police Office in Ugbowo, Benin, got a distress call informing him that kidnappers accosted the victim in his Toyota Highlander car and whisked him away. The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has arrested a lady whose name is Imaobong Sampson and her boyfriend, Beltus Ebong, in Mbierebe Obio village, Ibesikpo Asutan Area of the state for faking her kidnap.  Imaobong staged her kidnap with her boyfriend to extract money from her aunt that lives abroad. This was made know by the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Odiko Macdon on Monday March 18, 2023. According to the PPRO, the suspects were arrested in their hideout by operatives of the command’s Anti-Kidnapping Squad after a report of a kidnapping case in the area was received. He further stated that the complaints gotten by the command reveals that the conniving kidnappers were demanding the sum of 4 million naira from the family of Imaobong. This prompted the operatives of Anti-kidnapping squad to move into action by carrying out intelligence- driven investigation in order to track down the culprits and the victim. The presidential candidate for labour party in last year's election, Mr. Peter Obi has proven himself to be a simple and humble man as he visited the Maraba-Nyanya International Market Central Mosque yesterday March 18, 2024, to break fast with the Muslim community. Peter Obi, the former governor of Anambra State showcased his humble nature, as he was seen eating and feeding a little boy from a disposable plate, sharing the same spoon in the process.  The devoted Muslim faithfuls were impressed as they watched him eat comfortably with the child. Gun wielding men have attacked and killed the founder of the Mount of Solution Redeemed Church (MSRC), Apostle Elisha Asuquo and the pastor in charge of the church, Aniekan Ibanga, in Ikot Ekang, a community in Abak Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom state.  The general of overseer was gunned down by men suspected to be assassins who made their way into the church national headquarters at about 7:30pm at weekend during the parish meeting causing pandemonium in the process. An eyewitness told newsmen that the gunmen stormed the church premises on a motorcycle and after killing the clerics they fled through Abak-Ikot Ekpene Federal Highway. It has become a norm for parents of rape And defilement victims to withdraw their cases and according to Delta State command spokesperson, SP. Bright Edafe, the command will no longer tolerate such again. Edafe made this known in a post shared on X as he recounted how a woman whose husband raped their seven (7) year old filed for the case to be withdrawn because she cannot raise their children alone considering the fact that punishment for rape is life imprisonment. A lady whose name is Linda Ihebinike has been arrested by the police after she allegedly tried to fool a POS operator by attempting to carry out a transaction with fake naira notes. According to the spoke person of the Lagos state police command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin who disclosed this to the media, the lady in question was arrested when the sharp and vigilant POS operator discovered she was carrying fake naira notes to the tune of #90,000 in #1,000 notes, which she obviously planned to hand over to the POS operator after "money transfer transaction" which prompted him to raise alarm.

The State Police command in Kaduna State has confirmed the arrest of a housewife who allegedly paid an assassin to kill her husband so as to avoid paying him the debt of #400,000. The terrible incident happened in Rafin Guza community in Kaduna metropolis, as reported by security analyst and counter-insurgency expert, Zagazola Makama. It was reported that the husband of the woman borrowed her the sum of #400,000 for her to do business of which she gladly promised to pay back. But when her business began to flourish, her husband demanded she pay back but she bluntly refused. Out of desperation and with the idea of her not paying back the money, she decided to hire a street urchin known as Tola and his gang to end the life of her husband so that the issue of him disturbing her constantly for the money would become a thing of the past.

The community of Okuama In Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State that was involved in the killing of fifteen (15) soldiers have been completely razed. It was recently reported in all the media that the Army officers were ambushed by some aggrieved youths while they were rushing down to respond to a distress call prompted by a fatal community clash between two communities known as; Okuama and Okoloba communities on Thursday, March 14, 2024. After the onslaught by the youths, fourteen (14) bodies of murdered soldiers were recovered by the joint task force on Saturday March 26, 2024.
